Welcome to the
Snowden family's webpage. We are glad you stopped by for a visit.
Gary and Annetta Marie Snowden were commissioned by the International Mission Board of
the Southern Baptist Convention in October, 1986. After a year of Spanish language study
at the Instituto de Lengua Española in San José, Costa Rica, they moved to Mendoza,
Argentina where Gary pastored the First Baptist Church of Guaymallén and also taught at
the associational Lay Training Institute.
In 1993, the Snowdens moved to Buenos Aires where Gary began teaching at the
International Baptist Theological Seminary. He also directs the national Theological
Education by Extension program.
The Snowden family is also involved in church planting. They have helped begin new
churches both in Mendoza and in Martinez, a suburb in the North Zone of Greater Buenos
Aires. In 1999, they joined the North
Buenos Aires Church Planting Team, where they continue to serve.
