Buckets of Hope NEED to be in by March 10, 2010. Please check the map page for your county and nearest church. If we have no church in your area, contact 814 695- 6101 for help on getting your bucket(s) picked up.

Please Note: If you can not find 2lb bags of dried black beans then 4- 1lb bags will work. Also, you can use dried red beans if black beans are not available. Please wrap the bottle of oil in a 2-gallon Ziplock bag in case of breakage. The rice goes in first, then the oil, on either side of the oil is where the sugar, and the peanut butter go, then the 2 boxes of spaghetti, followed by the beans and then the flour. Place the lid on and tape an envelope with $10 for shipping to Haiti. Approx cost of one bucket, plus shipping is $42-45.

Associational Information

Who We Are

Conemaugh (an Indian word meaning "otter," from which we get our logo) Valley Baptist Association is a fellowship of churches in a 9.5 county area.  We are located in South Central Western PA.

Our Association has such historical points of interest as the Horseshoe Curve in Altoona, PA. This a wonderful engineering feat of railroading that allowed trains to go from East to West.

We also have Johnstown, PA site of Great Johnstown Flood. We also have

Punxsutawney, PA home of Punxsutawney Phil the groundhog!

Indiana, PA is the hometown of actor Jimmy Stewart, and

Tyrone, PA is the hometown of Fred Waring, of the Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians fame.

We work with and are affiliated to the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist Convention of Pennsylvania/South Jersey.

Our office is located in Duncansville, PA.  Our phone number is (814) 695-6101.  Our E-Mail is cvba@nb.net.

What We Do

We start new ministries and churches, and strengthen existing churches.  We also provide paperback New Testaments for outreach projects like fairs, block parties, and door-to-door ministries, desktop publishing for member churches, and equipment for block parties, such as tents, cotton candy machines, games, etc, and act as a lending library of books, tapes, and media equipment.

We serve as a resource center to link needs and resources, such as construction teams, Vacation Bible School Teams, visitation teams, and church-to-church partnerships.

We serve as a regional campus of Central Christian University through our Allegheny Christian Training Center, offering accredited course work from Bachelor through Doctoral levels.  Click here for more information.
