Who are Extremadurans?   |   What do Spaniards believe?   |   Economy   |   Education   |   Languages

The official language is Castilian Spanish, but Extremadurans have their own distinct dialects.

There is also a “Extremeño” or “Castúo” dialect.

In the northwestern mountain villages 6,000 speak “Fala” which is a unique mixture of Spanish, Portuguese and Gallego.

The Bible has never been translated into Castúo or the Fala languages.
