Today with religious liberty there is a healthy, new spirit of cooperation by civic and church authorities. Baptist volunteers are being hosted and financially sponsored by local leaders. They were honored in the Roman Theater in Mérida and performed in their finest Extremaduran theaters free of charge. Roman Catholic authorites as well have opened the doors of three cathdrals to Baptist choirs and musicians.
