Chris and Cathie have two children: a girl Caylee, and a boy Cayleb. The Smiths first arrived in Extremadura on March 27, 2001. They lived in Badajoz with a local ministry at the University of Extremadura until August of 2006 when they moved to Cáceres. The Smiths were on stateside assignment until March 2007 when they returned to Cáceres to start a church in this city.
Cathie is the Extremadura team prayer advocate.
