Our Most recent photo of our three lovely children.  Ross is happy to finally have a family.  We are excited that God brought him to us.

Ross was born in the hospital in Thika, Kenya on October 5, 2004.  Thika is about 20 Kilometers from Nairobi.  When Ross was 3 days old his mother was allowed to leave the hospital to get the supplies she needed to take him home.  She never came back.  When Ross was less than 2 months old he was transferred to New Life Orphanage in Nairobi.  He stayed there for almost 2 years until he got to come home and become a part of our family.

We had been praying for Ross before we met him.  After trying for many years to enlarge our family, we began to pray about adopting.  We decided in 2005 that we believed that it was the direction that God was leading us.  Before we went to the orphanage, Leah prayed for God to give us a sign as to which child we should adopt.  The orphanage where Ross was living has their parking lot right next to their playground and there is no barrier in between.  When we parked our car, Ross came running from the other side of the play ground, laughing as loud as he could.  When he reached Alan he just through his arms around Alan's legs and kept laughing and refused to let go.  That was in January of 2006.  We later found out that Ross was a very shy child and it was not like him to run up to strangers.  It was 9 more months before we were allowed to take Ross home..  Here are some pictures we took that first day we met Ross.
