Greetings once again from Houston!

We hope that this finds you well. We wanted to give you a long overdue update on our family. First of all, we so appreciate your continued prayers, support and encouragement. We are officially on a leave of absence from our mission as of the end of April. We are so thankful for their and your generosity as they have extended our health insurance coverage through the end of June.

Because of Cathie’s roller coaster health issues, we have not sensed the Lord allowing us to return to Spain at this time, though we hope someday to be able to return to the international mission field. However, if and when that will happen is in His hands.

Second Baptist Church has graciously allowed us to remain in their mission house until mid- July. We are so grateful to have been here these past 16 months and so grateful for all that God has provided through Second Baptist.

While Cathie has been on several medications and even had surgery, her health remains about the same- which to say the least- is very frustrating. Her endometriosis came back almost exactly as before her surgery last March and we may be dealing with another surgery in the future.

As our time comes to a close here in the mission house, we will begin yet another chapter of our lives with many unknowns. We know that through it all our Lord has been faithful and will continue to be so. In the meantime, God has provided income through two part-time jobs that Chris has been able to be involved with this past month – one being the school where Chris has been working. However, we ask that you pray with us for Chris to find a full-time job in the next month or so to provide more stability for our family.

This has become much longer than intended, so to sum up and recap, here is how you can pray with us:

+ God has continued to provide for all our needs and beyond.

+ Cathie’s melanoma remains in remission!

+ We continue to be made more into His image.

+ Some dear people have donated some key pieces of furniture.

Requests:

+Wisdom as we search for housing (possibly even buying a home), furniture and a second car.

+Emotional and financial stability in the midst of many changes.

+For our family to continue to grow more like Christ and to reflect His glory in all we do.

+Positive resolve to many of Cathie’s health issues and some issues we are dealing with our children.

+A full-time job for Chris.

+Please also continue to pray for David and Cristina in Spain as they seek employment as well.
