Hermano Xavier has got Tweety Bird right there in his shirt pocket.
Click the photo for a larger view. Xavier has only been a Christian for about
seven years. He came to know Christ as his personal Savour while in prison when he
was in the United States. For those of you who wonder if Prison Ministry pays off -
here is a real live example. For the first five years of his Christian life, Xavier
knew nothing about Christianity except what he was able to learn from those who ministered
to him in prison. Thank God, someone was willing to GO.
Small areas make it hard to get group shots so these are layed out in
pieces.
For a neighborhood church that is only two years old, these folks have a
great mixture of families and ages in their Sunday School hour. Several more drifted
in, like good Baptists, after the Open Assembly.
Adults, Youth, and Children are learning God's Word. Xavier takes a
leading role in the Open Assembly. We support the church with our presence,
experience, and service. The combination of these factors will grow a church that is
autonomous and free to serve Christ.
