Sunday School and WMU materials - Like to color? We have a job for you! We have pictures that we need for the women's program on using clean water to have good health. We can send you the patterns and you can send them to us by mail. You can also pray as you color for those who will learn from this story. Pray they will learn about living water while they study about their daily water. Most urgent request.

More coloring - we need pictures for Easter and  Christmas for our Sunday Schools. We can have the patterns sent to you and you photocopy and color them. Then you will need to mail them to us surface (boat) mail.

Wordless Book Aprons are needed! 

Can you sew!! We already have the verses and symbols.

pockets need to be 6 inches square. 

Help us share the plan of salvation with thousands of Makhuwa children!!

We also need small felt wordless books!

Can you cut and glue? Buy some felt and we will send you patterns to make finger puppets for our Sunday Schools. Send these by air mail as they do not weigh much. The children's eyes light up when they see these colorful puppets and they remember the story much better. Remember these children only have homemade toys. Send air mail. Most urgent request.

WEDDING DRESSES - New or Used - We especially need size 12 and 14 dresses. Makhuwa people tend to be short but not always. We are encouraging our Christians to get married instead of just living  with each other.  

It is not easy for them to pay the court cost for documents so this is one way we are assisting them. Another way is to take their photos for these documents. We could use instant Polaroid cameras for this part. We could also use some inexpensive wedding rings!! 

READING EYE GLASSES - We need your reading eyeglasses that you do not use now. We need them to be mailed to us with the prescription written on the ziplock bag that holds the glasses. Your optometrist will be happy to write it out for you when you tell him what you are doing. Maybe he will have some to donate. Maybe he/she will set up a donation box. Don't be afraid to share the need. We need has many as you can send by boat mail. Please get a group together to collect them. It would be expensive for us to receive them one at a time. We have to pay $2.50 every time we receive a package. Please write gift for the church and no customs value. Don't bother to insure them because the insurance would never pay off. They come to receive help with their eyes but they also receive help for their hearts. Pray for this project. We are incorporating this program with our literacy program. So few Makhuwa people can read and write. We would like to just stick with reading glasses at this point. We found it hard to match the prescriptions they needs with the variety of prescription glasses we received. 

ESL LIBRARY - needs audio and video cassettes. Our students use the lab to listen to used tapes and the teachers use Christian videos to give the students practice listening to English. Of course, the students love action movies. Children's tapes are also good from beginning to advanced levels. Something like the Left Behind videos or cassette for children would be good. We know how GA's and RA's love to collect things so those are our requests for this month!! Send them boat mail in shoe boxes or a box approximately that size. Be sure to put donation for ESL and Literacy classes.
