What to Expect When Traveling to Mozambique

Getting Here

1. When flying within Mozambique you are only allowed 20 kgs of baggage weight (roughly 44 lbs)          
                          2. PLEASE remember to always lock your bags!

3. Do not take any photographs of government buildings, police officers, the flag, or any uniformed person!

4. Listen to your missionaries... if they say don't eat it... don't!!!

5. Be aware of your surroundings, understanding at all times that you are a guest in someone's country... someone's home.              

 

            6. We have running water and electricity... well most of the time!!!!

                              8. Mozambique is a high malaria area. You will need to take a prophylactic, beginning two weeks before you arrive and for two weeks after you get home!

 
9. VISA REQUIREMENTS: Please apply for a single entry tourist visa when applying for the visa unless otherwise notified. This is very important.
