Monday September 1:  Praise God for the women’s training and Sunday School workshops that Jayme, Dianne, Katie, and Sue McGukin led at the end of August in Murrapula.

Please continue to pray for Jayme's visa. She still does not have the proper work permit and documents and will have to make two more trips out of the country. 

Tuesday September 2:  Pray for the construction work being done on the Nampula Bible Institute. Pray that God will provide the volunteer labor needed at the site for the next two weeks.

  Wednesday September 3: Pray for Phil McGukin, volunteer from Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carrolton, Georgia as he leads the construction team.  Praise the Lord for the witness he is giving daily and for the remaining time he has in Nampula.

  Pray for Mike, Pastor Caetano, Katie and Sue as they leave for Malema this morning. Mike and Pastor Caetano will be evangelizing and surveying the areas of Malema and Ribaue. Katie and Sue will be teaching True Love Waits.

  Thursday September 4:  Pray for Dianne and Jayme as they participate and take 10 ladies to Nainhota for a Makhuwa Initiation Ceremony for Ancha, Pedro’s sister. Praise the Lord that this will be a Christian ceremony instead of a traditional one. Pray that the ladies will know and understand the difference in the life of a Christian Makhuwa woman and a non-Christian.  This is a very big event!!! The ceremony lasts 3 nights.

  Friday September 5:  Please pray as Sue and Katie teach True Love Waits to the church in Malema. Pray that the people would hear and understand the words that are being taught and God’s special plan for their lives.

  Saturday September 6:  Pray for Jayme and Dianne as tonight is Ancha’s ceremony. This will be a very culturally eye opening experience.

  Sunday September 7:  Pray for the English service at Nampula Church. 

  Pray for Larry as he preaches this Sunday. Pray that the congregation would hear God’s word and apply it to their lives.

  Monday September 8:  Pray for Rise’ Uttley our new career missionary as she leaves for Portugal today. She has her visa and will begin language school as soon as she arrives!

Tuesday September 9:  Praise God for Dianne’s continued recovery from her ear surgery. Her hearing has improved especially when she wears the hearing aid.  Thank you for praying for her over the past few months. Also continue praying as she decides whether she will repeat the surgery on the other ear.

  Wednesday September 10: Pray for Larry has he finishes up the housing relief project. Also please pray that Larry would have wisdom, in the area of hunger relief.  The area of Murrapula is especially in need at this point.

  Pray for Phil and Sue McGukin as they leave Nampula and begin their travels home to Georgia. Praise God for the positive impact they made on Nampula!

  Thursday September 11:  Continue to pray for safe travel for Phil and Sue as they travel from Johannasburg to Atlanta! Pray that God would grant them sleep on this long, 17 hour flight home!

  Friday September 12:  Pray for Daniel Smith as he prepares to arrive in Mozambique. Give him strength as he says goodbye to family and friends!

  Saturday September 13:  Pray for Dianne and Jayme as they prepare to teach on spiritual gifts to a group of ladies at Cossore Baptist Mission in Nampula city.

  Sunday September 14:  Pray for Mike and Pastor Caetano as they travel home from Malema.

Monday September 15: Pray for Rise’ today, pray that she will be able to make a good Portuguese friend that she can practice her language with.

  Tuesday September 16:  Pray for Jayme as she is in the process of moving houses. Pray that she will be able to develop a good relationship with her new landlord and that she will have the opportunity to share Christ with her.

  Wednesday September 17:  Pray for Mike and Pastor Manuel as they do evangelistic and survey work over the next three days in the Napome area.

  Thursday September 18: Pray for Dianne as she prayerfully seeks to prioritize our personnel requests for career and ISC/Journeyman.  We will only be able to choose three and the rest will be on hold! Pray for wisdom!

  Friday September 19:  Pray for Larry as he continues teaching TEE to the church leaders in and around Nampula.

  Saturday September 20:  Pray for the planning of the women’s congress that is scheduled for this month.  Pray for the Mozambican ladies who should be planning this training.

Sunday September 21: Pray for Jayme as she prints the 12 leaflets that Pr. Caetano, Anselmo and she produced in July at the Literature Conference.  Jayme did a great job of getting them into print ready form. Pray for Dianne and Jayme as they prepare to distribute these leaflets in Nampula Province.  Pray for the ability of many new readers but also that they will be touched by the message in the booklets.

  Monday September 22:  Pray for Mike and Pastor Manuel as they do evangelistic and survey work in the areas of Namaita and Sena over the next two days. Pray that they will effectively communicate the saving message of Jesus Christ.  

Tuesday September 23: Pray for Katie as she packs up the rest of her things and says her final goodbyes to her friends in Nampula.

Wednesday September 24:  Please pray for Mike and Pastor Manuel as they return from Sena and Nameita. Pray for Dianne as she flies to Beira!

Thursday September 25:  Pray for Katie today as she leaves Nampula and flies to Malawi on her way home to the States. We praise God for the AWESOME impact she has made in Nampula over the last 2 years.

Pray for Daniel Smith today as he arrives in Beira! Pray also as he introduced to missionaries and church leaders that strong relationships will be built.

Friday September 26:  Pray for Mike today as he and Pastor Manuel continue their evangelistic work in Namaita and Sena.

Saturday September 27:  Pray for Dianne as she begins Daniel’s Portuguese intensive study.  Pray for Daniel as he studies and for his Portuguese teachers- Fernando, Manuel and Anselmo.

  Sunday September 28:  Pray for Katie as she leaves Lilongwe flying home to Georgia. Pray that the Lord will grant her safe travel and rest!

  Monday September 29:  Please pray for Mike and Pastor Manuel as they do evangelistic and survey work in the areas surrounding Sena and Rapale.

Tuesday September 30: Please continue to pray for Daniel as he adjusts to Mozambican life! And Portuguese study each and every day!

Tuesday July 1:  Pray for Larry as he goes to Namapa to do TEE. Pray for our new English worship service that will begin August 10. Pray our new Christians will attend this service and grow in their faith.

Wednesday July 2:  Pray for Larry as he does TEE (Theological training) in Namapa.

Pray for Dianne and Mike as they meet with local pastors to begin planning future work together.

Praise God for the 4 summer missionaries who labored in and around Nampula for the last month. They were a blessing to many and many have come into the kingdom as a result of their sharing.

 

Thursday July 3:  Pray for Larry as he returns to Nampula. Pray that he would get some much needed rest.

Friday July 4:  Pray for the 21 English students and their friends who have accepted Christ in the last few months. Pray that they would plug into Bible believing churches.

 

Pray for Rise, our newest career missionary on the team as she prepares to go to Portugal to study Portuguese. Pray for her work permit or visa and all the details to be worked out. Pray for her as she learns the first of the two languages she will need to learn.

 

Saturday July 5:  Pray for Mike, Brian and Joel as they travel from Nampula to Zambia beginning today.

 

Pray for Dianne as she writes new personnel requests. Pray God will bring someone to be the team leader for the Makhuwa Ministry Team and to do evangelism and plant churches among the Makhuwa-Maca e Nivarone peoples on the coast of Nampula Province.

 

  Sunday July 6:  Pray for the people who just heard the gospel through the evangelism done by the BSU volunteers. Pray for those who heard but didn't surrender their lives to Christ that the Lord would draw them to himself. And pray for those who did accept Christ that they would grow. Pray for the church members who are going to follow up with these new believers. Pray that our churches would have a passion for discipleship as well as evangelism.

 

Monday July 7:  Pray for Kyengye a Congolese refugee here in Nampula. He is part of a cult based out of the UK called the Christadelphian church.  Pray that he would be open to hearing and receiving the truth about Jesus Christ during the times that he and Mike meet.  

Pray for Jayme as she flying to Lilongwe Malawi to begin obtain the correct visa for becoming a resident in Mozambique.

 

Tuesday July 8:  Pray for Joel, Brian and Jayme as they continue to adjust to a very new culture, also pray that they would learn to communicate quickly in Portuguese.

 

Wednesday July 9:   Please pray that God would continue to lead us to the people that He has prepared to hear the gospel.

Thursday July 10:  Pray for Rise’ to adjust to life in Portugal and for ability to learn Portuguese rapidly.

 

Friday July 11:  Please pray that all of us would abide in Christ. Pray that our time with the the Lord each day will be refreshing and sweet. Pray that God would reveal Himself to us in a new way each day. 

 

Pray God will send a couple to serve as a career church planting catalyst and also two journeyman or an ISC couple to serve among the Makhuwa- Shirima in Niassa Province.

Saturday July 12:  Pray for all those traveling to AMT and the program that begins this afternoon. Pray for Mike, Joel and Brian as they travel from Zambia to Lilongwe today.

  Sunday July 13:  Pray for Joel Bailey on his birthday today. Pray for Mike, Joel and Brian as they travel from Lilongwe to AMT today. Pray for our worship/ Bible Study this week both morning and evening. Pray for rest and relaxation today for the two clusters - Malawi and Mozambique.

 

Monday July 14:  Pray for our meetings as we begin our Annual Mission Training.

Pray for God to send a career couple and also a journeyman or an ISC couple to serve among the Makhuwa – Emetto in Cabo Del Gado Province.

 

Tuesday July 15:  Please pray that the plans of Satan would be thwarted, and God would continue to reveal Himself and save the Makhuwa people.

 

Wednesday July 16:  Pray for our Portuguese and Makhuwa language teachers, Anselmo, Fernando and Manuel. Pray also for all those who are teaching ESL (English) each week.

 

Thursday July 17:  Continue to pray for Pastor Saraiva and Idalena as they serve at Ebenezer Baptist Church . Pray for the new ministry of a medical clinic. Pray for a building to use and praise the Lord for the doctor who has offered her services. Pray for all the legal work to be processed quickly. Pray for his sister who has HIV. 

 

Friday July 18:  Pray that the English students would be interested in hearing more about what we discuss in class.  Pray they would come to Christ. 

 

Saturday July 19:  Please pray for us as our annual meeting ends today in Malawi.

 

Sunday July 20:  Pray safety in travel for us as we return to Nampula from Malawi

Monday July 21:  Pray for the Annual Pastor's conference in Maputo. Pray for all the Baptists Pastors, Christians and missionaries who will be traveling to Maputo this year.

Please pray for Jayme as begins to help with a translation workshop at the SIL (Wycliffe) training facility.

Tuesday July 22:  Pray the Nampula/Cabo Del Gado Team (Makhuwa) will realize the importance of discipleship and work to train, equip and encourage those in our churches.  Pray the Team will also seek God’s perfect timing.

 

Wednesday July 23:  Pray for the annual WMU meeting in Maputo. Pray for the discussion with the women and the Youth concerning the problem of HIV/AIDS. Pray for the proposal that needs to be written and adopted for a national campaign.

Pray the marriages of the pastors will be examples of what the scriptures say a marriage should be.  Pray for the single evangelists to find the right mates.

 

Thursday July 24:   SPECIAL PRAYER FOCUS: Pray for the Annual National Baptist Convention in Maputo. Pray for cooperation between all the Baptist mission groups and convention. Pray for a united vision for a church planting movement among all the people groups in Mozambique.

 

Friday July 25:  Pray that in all things we would bring God glory, honor and worship.

 

Saturday July 26:  Please continue to pray that God would convict Mozambique Christians to live a life of purity and holiness before God.

Sunday July 27:  Ask God to guide the hands of the surgeon who will work on Dianne's ear in Johannesburg tomorrow morning.

Monday July 28:  Pray for Dianne's recovery from surgery.

Pray for unity of the members of the Nampula/Cabo Del Gado Ministry Team.  Pray also the Team will constantly seek the Lord’s guidance in every area of their lives.

 

Tuesday July 29:  Pray for Dianne on her birthday today.

 

Wednesday July 30:   Pray for Pastor David and wife, Sheila and daughter Sarah as he becomes the interim pastor for Nampula Baptist Church . Pray that God will call a Mozambican pastor for this church. Pray the members will grow in their faith and take on the responsibilities of the mother church. They have approximately 50 missions and yet do not have a pastor.

 

 Thursday July 31:  Pray that the local pastors would train and equip the members of the churches to know how to share their faith in an evangelistic way and be able to disciple new believers.
