Reaching the Mestizos of the Central Andes
Prayer Needs
1) Two national
couples are beginning a new work in Guano, a town that has long been
resistant to the Gospel. Pray for Edison, Tania, Alex, and Fernanda
as they have Bible studies on Sunday afternoons and Thursday
evenings. Pray that Edison and Alex will have a vision for reaching
the people of this town. Pray that God will open people's hearts and
ears.
2) Five people
were baptized at Followers of Jesus Christian Baptist Church in
Riobamba in September. Pray for Veronica, Alex, Jackie, Jennifer,
and Angelo as they grow in the Lord.
3) A volunteer
team of two counselors worked for a week with us in Riobamba. They
taught local believers how to help people who have problems with
domestic violence, sexual abuse, addictions, and marriage issues.
Pray that the Christians who attended will be able to use this
information as they minister to hurting people. The counselors also
spoke in universities, the military base and other places. Pray that
God will work in the lives of those who heard their messages.
