Two huts Here is a typical Mossi family house outside of a major city.   Husband and wife usually live in separate huts.  Young children stay with their mother.  Cooking pots are between the two huts.
Bible School around tree Young and old are gathered underneath a sycamore fig tree to participate in a Bible study (VBS) taught by volunteers from Brunswick, Georgia.   Note the village off in the distance.  The huts on the left are in the picture above.
Telling the Bible story of Noah and the flood Sometimes, telling Bible stories means making your own teaching aids.  Here, we are teaching about the story of Noah and the flood from the book of Genesis.  Our "Noah" is a Mossi pastor.
Cement work Construction supplies include hand made wheelbarrows (from old oil drums), shovels and bricks / blocks.  No project is complete without either a dog, goat or chicken in the way.  Note the dust. 
Construction takes place This shows construction of one of the dormitories at the pastor's school in Koudougou.  Volunteers from Georgia worked together with local volunteers to construct an eight room building that will provide housing to single men during their time at the school.
Pastors wives receive training The wives of the pastors who were in training at the school in Koudougou receive special training.  Note that there are four ladies in front.   Translation from one language into 3 others was in progress.
Local food Here is a local specialty.  It is called "Riz gras" which is "Fat Rice" in English.  It is prepared with meat, rice and lots of vegetable.  Note that tomato, cucumber and lettuce salad is being served with it.
Turtle carved in granite There are a number of skilled workers here.  The university offers courses in sculpting and there is a "sculpture garden" about an hour from Ouagadougou in an outcropping of granite.  Pictured is a turtle for those of you without an eye for art !
