About Me:

I was born on May 4 in Washington, D.C. to Mr. & Mrs. Alfred and Gloria Scott. I lived in D.C. until age 14 when we moved to Lanham, MD in PG County. I graduated from DuVal Sr. High School, and a few months later, received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior while viewing a Billy Graham Production movie called "Time to Run". Four months later I felt called to be a missionary during my prayer time.

I was baptized at Seabrook Baptist Church and served as a bus captain, Sunday School teacher, and was very active in the Youth group. Our leaders were excellent in discipling us, inspiring us, loving us and involving us in prayer, missions and evangelism. I am eternally grateful to them!

I attended and graduated from Washington Bible College (Lanham, MD) and during the Summers I served as a Summer Missionary with the Home Mission Board (North American Mission Board) in Puerto Rico. Upon graduation, I moved to PR and attended the PR Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating with a Diploma in Music. I served in PR as Consultant in Youth Evangelism under the US-2 program.

Then I attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ft. Worth, TX) and graduated with an MA in Religious Education. I returned to Puerto Rico and served as the State Student Director, and later as the Mission Ministries Director of the island. I also served on the staff of Glenview Baptist Church in Ponce, PR as the Director of Follow Up.

I lived in PR for 17 years, and I will always have the island and my friends there in my heart. They are like family to me. So I visit them and keep in touch as often as I can. I was really surprised when I realized God was moving me on to another field of service where there were greater needs for Christian leadership.

After returning to the States, I joined Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana of Laurel, MD and enjoyed serving in church planting and as part of the worship team there. The pastor and church members there who were from a dozen countries were very influential in helping me realize the need for Christian workers among hispanics outside of PR.

So, I am currently serving with the International Mission Board as a career missionary. I served as a church planter and strategy coordinator in Panama from 2000 to 2003 (http://www.peopleteams.org/barriadas ). Now I am excited to be serving in Mexico City on the Northwest Mexico City Team.

My life verse is Phil.3:10, 12 - "That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death..…that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Him".
