Peace I leave with you;
My peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled
and do not be afraid.

John 14:27

Serenity House / Door Of Hope is a Christ-centered residential alcohol and drug abuse recovery house for men, located in Sidney, Ohio.

Program Overview
Residents of Serenity House / Door Of Hope are required to live on site and stay in the program for 6 to 12 months, although many men choose
to stay in the program for more than a year.  Serenity House combines regular AA and NA meetings, weekly counseling sessions at a county counseling facility, daily in-house Christian education / church services,
and required steady employment to help men to fashion a new and productive life for themselves with Christ at the center.  The program is comprised of 4 phases, with escalating freedoms and responsibilities as the men progress through the program.  There is a zero tolerance for
drug and alcohol abuse while in the program.

Financial Model
Serenity House's volunteer director staff do not at present receive any salary for their work.  Serenity House is completely supported by each resident's weekly contribution to the house from their salary.  Presently, each resident is required to pay $200 upon entering the house (for their first 2 weeks in the program) and then $100 per week thereafter for the duration of the program (please contact Serenity House to confirm the current financial requirements).

Spiritual Model
There is no mistaking that Serenity House is a Christ-centered program.  This is emphasized when speaking to prospective residents.  Regular in-house Christian education and church services, weekly one-on-one meetings with staff, and spiritual mentorship are program mainstays.
