Nancy's Personal Page

Nancy L. Congdon
I have been a leader for the AWANA program for over 9 years. I love teaching and playing with children. I also have been on the Women's ministry for several years. Helping in many aspects of the ministry.
I went on a mission trip with some of the folks from our church. We went to Romania where we worked with Pastor Ovidu Patrick to help him prepare to build a church. We had a Vacation Bible School in the public building for the children then church services at night. Six of the ladies asked GOD into their heart, also 18 children. God blessed our trip greatly. Also some of us went on to Cluj in Romania as a follow up visit for Godliness Baptist Church where we had promised to help in there building program. There I stayed with a family who opened their home to me like I was real family. I have never been treated so well or felt so cared for and protected. This was my second trip to Cluj I also went in March 2005. If you ever get a chance to go, do it. I found it is the best use of vacation time to spend it on the needy not myself.
God wants more than our money He wants our time, our love, our willingness to serve and most of all He wants to bless us.
My husband and I have been married since May 1991. God has truly blessed all these years. A few years ago I became involved with helping to start a Secret Sister program at our church and I was one of the planning team members. My husband and I have taught the 2 year old's for Sunday School since 1992. What a blessing those two years old's can be. We have seen many children grow up and accept Jesus as their Personal Savior. What a joy that was but in 2005 we stepped down to grow more in an Adult class. . We are still working with them once a month but have joined a wonderful adult Sunday School class the Jersulam Class taught by Matt Underwood. We have also started working with the AWANA program and are helping the children learn Bible verses and such.. We have also taught the summer children's program and now we just serve where needed.
March of 2001 my husband and I went to Jurez Mexico to help build a house for a family through Casas Por Cristo which mean Houses because of Christ. It was three very long days and lot of work but when it was done and the dedication was given, the family cried with joy and so did we. It was an awesome experience. Click here to see pictures of us building the house. A year later the house was being used for a house church and bible study on Wednesdays.
