Teams will prayer walk areas to be saturated, followed by a house to house distribution with the objective to give each family a copy of the Gospel. Teams will be working in and around “gated" communities, apartments, and neighborhoods. The "Abundant Gospel Sowing" is part of our overall strategy to foster a Church Planting Movement. You may also have other outreach opportunities which will depend on the makeup of the team and the Lord’s will. Discuss details with field missionaries.

Business Professional Conferencing (#100942)

We are looking for individuals and groups of Christian men and women to share your work, education, and life experiences with the people of Valencia, Venezuela. This may be a one-time event, multiple evenings, small groups in houses, neighborhoods, business offices, schools, universities, churches etc. The goal is to be a cross-cultural witness to build bridges with the Professionals and future professionals and to change current overall negative impressions of evangelicals among this segment of the population. You will participate as conference speakers, trainers, mentors, disciple makers, prayer walkers, and distributers of professional material and the gospel.

Medical / Dental / Nursing Conferences (100945)

We are looking for individuals and groups of Christian men and women working in the medical and dental fields to share your work, education, and experiences with the people of Valencia. This may be a one-time event, multiple evenings, small groups in houses, neighborhoods, doctor offices, clinics, schools, universities, churches etc. The goal is to be a cross-cultural witness to build bridges with the medical professionals and future medical professionals and to change current overall negative impressions of evangelicals among this segment of the population. Opportunities to conduct professional medical and dental training in hotels, hospitals, doctor’s offices, and clinics with goal to reach the medical and dental professionals with the gospel that will lead to new disciples, bible studies and church planting. Many of the Venezuelan doctors have received additional training in the USA and Europe but there are a lot of new doctors eager for training. You will participate as conference speakers, trainers, mentors, disciple makers, prayer walkers, and distributers of professional material and the gospel. Evangelism (communicate with field missionary)

Share the Gospel in Valencia, a city of about 2,000,000 with minimal Baptist work with the goal of starting bible studies and new churches. An opportunity to use a variety of skills in evangelism and church planting in one of the largest cities in Venezuela. The majority of people in this community would be considered cultural Catholics, but most are not practicing..

ESL – English as a second language and Conversation clubs (100943)

It may have been your most feared subject in school, but it’s a dream come true for many Venezuelans. Volunteers will build bridges using English. Conversation clubs are a great outreach for those who do not teach but can help facilitate a small English conversation group. If you teach or have considered teaching, you can teach beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of ESL. An outgoing personality, skills in teaching ESL, and initiative are essential. If you are not a teacher, don't worry, as long as you speak English, you can help with conversation clubs. You can be a blessing to the people by sharing your everyday knowledge of English and giving them the greatest of all opportunities: a chance to know Jesus as Lord and to become involved in a Bible study or worship group. VISION and DISCOVERY TRIP (100972)

If you and/or your church are considering international missions or a partnership to reach a specified area of the world, this request has your name on it. The Valencia Team is coordinating and networking to mobilize God’s Army of Prayer Partners, Volunteers, and Ministry Partners that God will use to reach the peoples of Valencia. Valencia is the third largest city in Venezuela with almost two million inhabitants living in the greater city area and the state which has a large industrial and metropolitan area and many poor communities. There is very little evangelical ministry that is focusing on and reaching the Professionals and University Students of the city and within the poor areas there is a great need for training. The purpose of a trip would be to discover where God is at work and to partner using strategies the Holy Spirit reveals to reach city with the gospel and plant churches by dividing the city into smaller segments focusing on unreached areas of the city first where there are no churches so that each person may have the opportunity to hear, to believe, and to respond to Christ, in their own cultural context.

University Ministry - Sports / Recreation / Evangelism (100938)

Specialized support among Chinese of Venezuela
(Specialized Support • General Evangelism • Church Planting)

The Chinese are a closed community and difficult to penetrate. They work long hours and very late. Some may dismiss you as crazy. If you speak and/or read & write Cantonese; this request has your name on it! There are between 20 - 30 thousand Chinese that live in the city of Valencia. You will live and work with Chinese nationals, IMB missionaries and Venezuelan nationals planting Baptist churches among the Chinese of Venezuela

UNIVERSITY MINISTRY (100939)

This team will engage in evangelism projects targeting primarily university students. They will be partnering with a team of Venezuelans who are developing a ministry to reach the universities. The Americans will be involved in using their English skills and cultural exchanges to draw and develop relationships, ultimately bringing them into contacts designed to share evangelistic Bible truths with them and to connect them with Venezuelans who are believers. Ministry will be held on campus, local hangouts, malls, and parks. The Professional/University team of Valencia, Venezuela, is looking for university students who are willing to reach one of the most unevangelized segments of Venezuelan society, the student population. This person will join an on-going ministry team to over 100,000 students in the metro area. The job assignment calls for a high energy, creative person for building relationships using ESL, music, media, sports, etc.
